Summer Break Part 1

...and other miscellaneous news.

Hey all,
Well, I was reminded by my dear brother that it was past time I posted, and my other brother commented to us about it too, so since I have a chance (and nobody is talking IM right now) I will type in a "quick" post. We've been fairly busy lately and time sort of flew by, I don't even really know what to say. We DID get those trees I mentioned in the last post, and we planted them that same day, which was a good thing because I ended up sick the next day. It started around 3 am, and lasted pretty much all day, so wasn't much fun, although the children got some extra days off school!!! We've gotten into a routine of sorts and so things continue to be busy, but we do have some days where we can "chill" (only in the air conditioning!!!) and so that is good.

In my last post I said something about the cooler weather, well, that has long since passed on!!! I just looked at the thermometer (at 7:15 pm) and it read 111, granted the sun is shining directly on the receiver but the weather website said 109 at about 4 or 5 pm. Needless to say, we stay inside as much as possible. Starting this Sat, we will be working 2 Sats a month at the neighbors motorcross race track. We were honored to be asked to collect the entrance fee for the racers and spectators. They need someone honest and trustworthy and asked us first to do this. Unless the schedule changes, or something urgent come up, we will be able to work every race until the end of the year. We are excited about this, and can't wait to get started!!!!

Now, for the summer break!!! June 4 will be the last day of school!!!!....for a couple weeks. Since we are so far behind, we are needing to have school during the summer, but the family will be going to campmeeting and a wedding and doing other "fun" things the month of June, so we will be on vacation from school. My plans for those weeks is to "tear my house apart" and do some extensive cleaning (and maybe burn some extra calories while I'm at it!!!) I'm contemplating rearranging the spare room, but since the space is limited, I'm not sure what I'll come up with. With a trailor, there just isn't that many options for furniture arrangement!!! If it works one way, than that's about the only way it can be!!! We'll see!!! After the family gets back, then it's back to the books for July, and then whether we are done or not, we will be breaking again for Aug, then starting the next school year in Sept. I am hoping it works out this way!! Even though I only have 2 students, 3 days a week, 6 hours a day, I'm ready for summer break!!!!! It's being talked about me finishing my teaching degree here, so I am hoping it works out to do that. Then, if I need to start working, I'll have somewhere to start.

Anyway, that's about all for now. I did figure out what to do with pictures, so one of these days, I'm going to load A BUNCH!!!! Hope you all have a good weekend!!!!! Ours will be busy, but hopefully fun and not too stressful!!!! God bless!!!

Until next time,
Esther

I am sorry it took so long for me to post as well actually i didn't even see your comment until tonight, but enough about that wish I could be there at the race track with you all that sounds like fun even if you have to "work" there. They say that if you enjoy what you do you will never have to work a day in your life. Keep that in mind about your degree as well.
