Burdens

Dear Readers,
Some of you may not read this to the end, and some of you will. I just hope that God will use it to His Glory!! It has been promised that God's word will not return void, so I pray that God will speak to someone through this post.

Practically all my Christian life, I have felt like a failure in the witnessing department. I don't know, maybe I don't say the right things, or not say anything at all, or maybe I come across too strongly. I don't know. It's easier for me to do things in writing than face to face, but maybe that's the "easy way out". I don't know. I was just thinking the other day though about all the people in my family and around the world that are living complacent lives. They know right from wrong, they know how they are supposed to live, yet they are just floating through life with seemingly no concern for their eternal future. I was brought face to face with that this summer at my family reunion. God had placed something on my heart basically from the time we made plans to go. I struggled with it, because I knew not everyone would approve, but since God laid it on my heart, I had to do it. God's presence was in that room as I obeyed Him, and there were mixed reactions. Some accepted it, some rejected it. Most everyone, if not all, knows they way of God. Not all are living it.

The Bible says that "all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God". It also says that "if we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". It also says "by their fruits ye shall know them". There is a difference between judging someone, and letting the "fruits" and actions of that person judge for them. It is very dangerous to be playing around with God in this present time. I have heard all my life that the end is coming, and as I get older, I am beginning to really believe it. Sound scary? Yes, but it should be even more so for the ones that are not right with God. I am not talking about outward standards, I am talking about inward submission to God's will. There is only one way to heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ. Everyone who goes to Heaven has to be cleansed from sin. The way to do that is to confess all your sins to God, and repent of them (that means turn from them and stop doing them) and God is faithful to forgive. From there, you have to live your life according to God's leading. It's not necessarily an "easy" road, but God is there every step of the way giving strength and encouragement as you need. God's way is the best way, and even if there was no life after death, having a peace in my heart and a joy of living is worth it all.

If you, dear reader, are living a complacent life, and seemingly don't have a care, please examine your heart, and find out where you stand with God, and get things straightened out. God is there waiting to welcome you back with open arms. He loves you. It's very dangerous living so carelessly in these last days. I am praying for you as you read this. I pray that God will speak to your heart and help you to see what you need and help you to take the necessary steps back to Him. He will give you the strength to then live the life He has laid out for you. There is no better way. If you are not living God's way, chances are, you are not 100% happy. Chances are you don't have peace and you are afraid of the future. God can and will give you the peace and joy you are looking for. If only you will ask, and the let Him...

May God bless and work in your lives,
Until next time,
Esther
