Hodge Podge

Hey all,

I thought I'd hurry up and get another post on here before September makes it's departure!! We've been busy busy, and it's only going to get busier!! We start working the corn maze again this Thurs!! I'm excited, but it will really make things hectic if I don't get a schedule worked out right off the bat. I will still be teaching M-W and possibly working the maze Thurs and Fri mornings as well as Fri and Sat nights. Ron's about ready to quit his job and work the maze "full-time" until he can find something else. The pay at the maze is way less, and he'll need to work more hours, but with the huge cut in expense (we ride our bikes to work the maze, and he won't be eating out) it evens out. He's applied for Wal-Mart photo studio, but we haven't heard from them yet. He's going to go back this week (maybe) and talk to them again. We'll have to see what happens. That is something that he'll really enjoy, and it will give him experience so that when the time is right, we can open our own studio.

Back a few weeks ago, Ron decided that I needed a new wardrobe!! Honestly, some of my clothes were from Penn View Days and before!! Granted, I had gotten rid of most of those a couple of years ago, but there were still a few!! So, we went on a shopping spree!! Here's what I got. Some was new from the store, some was from the thrift store. All in all, I think we paid around $100 for all of it. Not too bad, but not as good as what some people find. Oh well, I am happy with my new clothes!! I sent a box of my old ones to my sister since they really were in good shape, just so old Ron and I were both tired of them!!

Top new, skirt thrift storeClose up of the top. I really like this pattern. Another plus is-It doesn't need ironed!!Both top and skirt are new.Close up of the skirt. This one could make you dizzy if you looked at it too long!! Both top and skirt from the thrift store. I have to give Ron credit for this outfit, and then next one. He's the one that found them. This top was intended for a green skirt (not pictured, but also found at the TS, brand new still with tags I might add!!) but it didn't go real well, but matches the brown skirt perfectly!! Also not pictured, we got a brown top, very similar to the black one above, that goes well with this skirt and a couple other skirts I didn't get rid of!!

Both top and skirt are new. I haven't really checked, but I think this top will go with the green skirt mentioned above. The skirt here is a wrap around, but the material is heavy so it stays put pretty well.Close up of top. Once again, this is the type of material that doesn't need ironed!! I think all but the green striped shirt above was this type of material!! Not really done on purpose, but convenient nonetheless. The bad thing though is that the material is thin, so I have to wear something under all of them.
I did purchase one other outfit that is not pictured. It's a dark grey skirt with a paisley type top (not paisley because Ron dislikes paisly very much!! but sort of) and yes, the top is the same material as the others!! I think Ross' had a huge shipment of that type of tops!!!

On Thurs, our services for DSL begin!! I am hoping that we get the modem before then and get it hooked up!! I am really excited about that too!! It will cost us $5 more than what we pay for dial-up, but we cancelled other services on our phone so we will still be paying about $5 less than before. I can't wait!! With DSL, I'll be able to get online with my laptop and both computers can be online at the same time. That will help alot when I want to do something, but Ron needs the

computer. I'll also be able to get the printer on my computer so that I can print straight from my computer. I really need that because I have some really neat programs on my computer, but can't print anything from them. It will be so nice to be able to do that!!! Also, pictures will load faster, and I may even be able to upload videos too. Right now our internet is soooooo slow we can't do much of anything. I'm ready for the faster stuff!!!!

Well, that's about it for now. I'm supposed to be hemming some pants for a relative of a friend of mine, but she hasn't brought them over to me yet. I did them once, but she didn't want to try them on before she took them home, so once she got home and tried them on, she realized they were a little shorter than she wanted them to be, so now I'm waiting for her to bring them back so that I can make them a little longer. They are for an 8 or 9 yr old, so I left a bit of a hem in them so that she could let them out as the girl grows, so that's a good thing!!!

Well, that's about it for now. Hope everyone has a good week!!! Happy Birthday to Karen!!! Hope your day is a wonderful one!!!

Until next time,

Esther
