Stormless

Hey all,
Ike managed to miss us completely after all!! What was funny is we got calls from a bunch of people in PA and a lot of others were worried about us, and we didn't get a drop of rain, and hardly any wind from the storm. In OH and PA this past week, Ron's family there were having all kinds of wind, rain, trees and branches down, power outages, etc. We sat down here and laughed because of how "backwards" it ended up being!! Don't get me wrong, we've been there just recently with Dolly, so we do sympathize with the mess and lack of power and stuff. It's just kind of funny that the ones that worried so much about us got what they thought we were going to get. We did get some rain yesterday, and it's really cool today. I turned the ac off and opened windows for today its so nice outside. I don't have screens on the windows, so as it warms up, I'll have to shut them so that the bugs don't come in, but it's really peaceful listening to the birds singing outside. We usually just get to hear the one we have inside, so this is a pleasant change!!

We finally got enough money in the church treasury to get the paint for the annex. It's a light blue, and with the white trim will look really nice!!! We painted yesterday, but alas I didn't get any pictures. Usually if it's a two man job, Ron and I are the "two men" and there's usually not time for pictures because we are both busy working to get the job done. That was the case with the deck. I was able to get a couple pics of Ron digging the post holes, but after that I was too busy helping hold other things that I couldn't hold my camera!!! So, that's the main reason we don't get any/very many pics of the projects around here. For the one that made the comment about the pictures, we really don't have much going on here to take pictures of. Ron's busy working at the station or on the property here, we don't have much contact with our church people outside of church, we've been out calling nearly every single Sat. since last Nov. and don't have any new ones coming in. I do have a few pictures of SS activities that if I remember, I'll get them on here shortly. We haven't gone anywhere since July (except to the beach once with a friend of ours, and we always take our cameras, but hardly ever remember to get any pictures we're too busy having fun!!) Anyway, I'll try to take the suggestions and keep them in mind so that I can look for pictures that would be of interest to you all. Please though, if you leave comments, I like to know who they are from. Maybe I'm being whatever, but I don't like to post comments that I don't know from where they originated. Please forgive me. I did read it, and I will keep it in mind for when the opportunity arises to take pictures.

Well, Ron is at work, and I have my students here. I need to get going and get started on the stack of lessons they have finished. It will be time for lunch in just a few minutes as well, so I'll be extremely busy after lunch!!! Ya'll take care now!!! Have a great rest of the week and week end!!
