Home Again

Wow!! How time sure does fly!! We are back home from our trip to KS to see my family. We attended the reunion (the reason we went up) on Sat. and ALL of my brothers, sisters and their families (the ones that have families) were there, and we were able to get family pictures for the first time in 3 years. I think it's the first time EVER with EVERYONE (except one bro-in-law). The last ones we got were just of my parents and the children. This is the first time we got Ron and my oldest brother-in-law and all the rest in one picture. (My brothers were in Iraq when Ron and I got married). Anyway, it was a WONDERFUL time!!! We didn't get to see everyone and do everything we wanted while we were there. There just wasn't enough time!!!!

Ron had a chance to do some pictures for a friend of mine, and also my nephew and youngest niece have birthday's this summer, so he took their birthday pics. When you ask my nephew how old he is, instead of saying "2" he says, "me 3 in August". It's really cute!! Ron took the pics to work with him to put in an album, so I'll have to put them on another day.

I didn't get a post on for Father's Day, but I was able to be with my dad for Father's day. We had all the family there for lunch, and it was quite hectic. I made Bro. Juan V.'s Famous Salsa and they all liked it, but it was a little bit much for a couple of them!!! I actually had to make two batches, one without the jalapeno, and mix it so that it wasn't so hot!!! It was really good though!!!!! After it sat in the fridge for a couple of days, it REALLY had a bite to it!!!!!!

The day before we left, we went out about 1 1/2 miles from my parents and got some pics of these lily type flowers growing along side the road. I don't know if they were wild, or if someone planted seeds there or what, but they were really pretty!!! They look a lot like the flower we have in front of our church, just a different color. I took some with my camera too, so I have them to post now!!!

As far as SS Charlie goes, I will not be able to post it today, and we are getting company this evening until Tues. evening, but keep tuned in!!!! I will do my best to post the story I told last time on Wed, and then the next one ASAP after I tell it. Sorry to keep you all waiting!!!!

Must go. I am getting a cold or something, and my eyes fell kind of puffy. I would go lay down, but its just after 6 and if I sleep right now, I may not sleep tonight, so.........
