Bits and Pieces

Hey all,
We've been keeping really busy lately!! The new church doors have come in, and we have one more coat of paint to put on, and they will be ready to rehang in the frame!! We ended up taking the hinge pins out and removeing the doors from the frame in order to paint them easier. We decided to go ahead and paint the frame too while the doors were out. On Mon, we plan to start the installation process. I don't know what all is involved, and we may not know all until we get started on it!! One of the men from the church is planning to come over and help, for which we are thankful!!!

Ron's been working ALOT, and with all the other stuff going on here, he has kept really busy!! We finally got started on the last dresser of the bedroom set that Ron made a couple of weeks or so ago, and yesterday, we got it in the bedroom!!! It's not completely done yet, but is usable. We still need to put the back on it, and the drawer fronts too. It really looks nice, even with out the fronts!!! It's shorter height wise than the other one, but is longer and the drawers are bigger. I think Ron did an awesome job on the whole thing!!! He is really good with this kind of thing, and I am sooooo pleased with the way it all turned out. I'll have to put pics on later, because I don't have time to load them right now.

A little "telling" on myself!! Ron called me earlier today from work asking if I would sew the patches on a couple of shirts for one of the other guys. I told him sure thing, and so they came by in between patients and dropped them off. They wanted me to try to do one of the shirts so that the guy could change, and leave me his other shirt to do later. When I got off the phone, I laid it down where I was, and then continued on with what I was doing. After I finished the shirt, and the guys had left again, I went to get my phone to go over to the church to paint the door frame, but couldn't find it anywhere!!! I couldn't call it, because we don't have long distance on my phone, and the only one here that I could think to call was my friend Renee, but her house phone number is on my cell phone, and I don't have it anywhere else, sooooo, I got online hoping that my parents or sister or someone would be on so that I could IM them to ask them to call my phone so that I could find it!!! Well, my mom was online, so I asked her to call my phone. I followed the ring, and found it in the cabinet in the spare room!!! I had been putting stuff away in there while talking to Ron, and that's where I laid it when I was finished!! Since I had closed the doors, I couldn't see the phone, and I couldn't remember where I was when I hang up from talking to Ron!!! I thought it was kind of funny, and was glad that my mom could help me find it!!!! I'm sure I am not the only one that this type of thing happens to!!!

On a serious note, the guy that came with Ron today commented that he could feel a peacefullness as soon as they got here. I praise God for that!! His presence is here, even if we don't realize it all the time!!! I am thankful also that my home IS a peaceful place, and that others can feel it. That is one of my desires, and I am glad to know that we have accomplished it, with God's help!!! Thank you Jesus!!!

Anyway, need to get off here and get things done. Hope you all have a good weekend!!!! It's Antique Show in PA this weekend. That was an annual outing for the Junod family, so some of us are going to be a little homesick this weekend!!!! Beck, Mom, Dad J., Hope you all have a great time!!!! Also, I found out that Greater Vision in going to be in concert up there too, just a 1/2 hour or so from where Ron's parents live. We about cried!!!!! SOOOOOOO, anyway, just have lots of work planned for the weekend since we are in TX and not PA where the fun stuff is happening!!!! We'll get over it though. God bless you all, and have a great weekend, wherever you are!!!!

Until next time,
Esther

Esther, I followed a link from Leora's blog to yours. I was interested to read that you live in Donna, TX. My grandparents spent many winters down there as South Dakota winters were too harsh for my grandma's asthma. They helped the missionaries in that area as much as they were able. We were able to go to Donna one year while they were there, and I remember it as being a very pretty place. We have friends that live in McAllen and know a few of the Missionaries in Mexico.
Anyway, just thought I'd drop a note that I enjoyed your blog.

What? You are complaining about being in Texas instead of PA? That is hard to comprehend. I'd trade places with you anyday...

Jeffrey, I have to admit that even though this is definitely NOT my favorite place in the world to live, I am content here, and really am not in any hurry to leave. However, it would have been extremely nice to have been in PA last weekend!!! By this time in PA, it's starting to think about getting a little colder than I like, so here's fine for now. Besides, if I traded places with you, I STILL wouldn't be in PA!!!!

Hey! Glad you found your phone. :-) I 'lost' mine on Saturday but the ringer was off, so it was a little harder to find it!!
