Table Pictures

Hey all,

It has been really good having these two days off!!! I spent all afternoon yesterday with a friend, just visiting. It had been a while since we had a chance to really talk, so was good to finally get to do it again!!! I have a list of things I want to do today, and I am just getting started!!! I do hope you all enjoy these pictures. They really don't do the tables justice, but I think they are still good. Ron did all the work, and he did a really, really good job!!! I am so proud of him!!! We were able to borrow a lathe to turn the legs, and he had fun doing that!!! So, enjoy the pictures!!!

He purposely made the tables this tall so that the stereo would fit under it.

I really like these legs!! They are simple, but easy to do, (and duplicate! He had to make 8 of them!!)Top of the second table we made. (I just cleared this one for pictures). There are 4 boards gorilla glued together to make the top.This is the corner of the first table. Ron got really excited when he saw that "ripple" in the rough wood!! It really turned out beautiful!!! Both tables are finished only with varnish. No stain at all, so the color is all natural, black walnut wood.Close up of the routed edge. I bought the bit for him for Christmas. He'd gotten one for his dad that was the same style, just had 3 ridges instead of the two, and after he tested it, he was tempted to keep it until after we made these tables!! But he didn't keep it, so he was glad to get this one in his stocking.

I just found out that the dust really doesn't show on these tables...until you run your finger through it!!! You can really see the track of your finger!!!! I'd better get those things dusted!!!!

Hope you all enjoyed the pics!! I really like the tables, and maybe eventually we'll make a couple more. Ron really is a handy man to have around!!! He loves keeping busy and working with wood, and a camera. I thank God for him everyday!!!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend!! I think I've probably posted more often this week than I posted all month the last couple of months!!! So, it might be a couple days before I get on here again. Don't go away though, I've got thoughts rolling around in my brain, but haven't gotten a chance to research them out quite yet. Probably all my studies will be contreversial to some extent, but I try ever so hard to make sure everything I say is according to God's word. Otherwise, I'm just another person "spouting" her opinions and only adding to the confusion that this world is in. God's Word is infallible. It will never fail, grow old, change, etc. It is given by divine inspiration, and can be used to establish doctrine, give reproof and correction, and give guidance in right living. (2 Timothy 3:16) We CAN stand on God's word as truth, because that is what it is.
