Chicks

I just wanted to introduce you all to the newest additions to our "farm". A couple of weeks ago, a family we know had a hen produce 6 chicks, and they didn't want any more chickens!!! So, they called us, and said we could have them if we came over and got them. We went the next day, and brought them home. They've grown A LOT since we brought them home, and these pics were taken!! I am afraid the if we don't get the pen built pretty soon, they will out grow the tote box we have them in, and fly out!!! That would NOT be good, even though they are in the shed, so they wouldn't be running free in the yard. Anyway, I got my digital camera, so I can put pics on right away!!! It's not the quality I thought it would be, so I am still saving for another one, and will sell this one after my family reunion. I want a camera for that so that I can get my own pics for my scrap book!!! Anyway, enjoy the pics of the chicks!!! Only one is yellow, the rest are black. We are impatiently waiting to see how many of them will be giving us eggs, and how many will be served on the table!!!! Only time will tell!!!!!!

That's all for now!! Oh, I'm putting on 2 pics in our Easter outfits. They were film, and didn't scan very well. Our faces are kind of distorted, but I hope you enjoy them anyway!! These were taken in our back yard. behind the tree is the neighbors fence, and some buildings, that's why we are squatted down, so you don't see all that, 'cause it isn't very pretty!!!!
