Just a note

Hey everyone!! Just thought I'd drop a quick note to ya'll. Not a whole lot going on around here this week. Which is good, because we need a slower week!!!!! We finished up the chicken pen on Sat, so Sun. morning when I cleaned the box out, I just took the chicks out to the pen, and there they remain!!!! It's soooooooo much easier to take care of them now!!! Yesterday, we found out the the treated lumber we used as posts for the fencing could poisen the chickens because they peck EVERYTHING (it doesn't hurt too bad yet 'cuz they are so little still), and so we have to cover the posts with some other wood. The sooner we get that done, the better off the chicks will be. Until we can do that, I am praying that they don't die. They are too big for the box we had them in so I really need to leave them out there.

Ron has been working a lot lately. He works 3 days/week, and the last two days he worked, he had almost 12 hours, so that will really help!!! Gas prices are $3.09/gal, unless it's gone up again. We are praying God will help bring them down because we are planning to make a trip to KS in a little over 3 weeks. I am really excited about seeing my family again, and my mom is really excited because all 6 of her children are going to be there, so I don't want to have to disappoint her. God knows all this, and He will work everything out.

Well, that about wraps it up for this time!!!! I am planning on doing some canning on Fri, so will be really busy while Ron is at work, so this may be the only chance I have to post until next week.
