Our Big Weekend!!

Finally, I am able to update you all on our big weekend!!! I didn't get this formatted the way I wanted to, and it's giving me fits trying to work with it, and I got the pics in the wrong order, so they are just kind of mixed up!!! I am trying to number them and then describe each pic that way. I hope you don't get too confused!!!!!! Like I said, they're all pretty messed up and out of order!!! 1 2

Picture one is of Ron trimming the trees during the work day we had here at the church on Sat. April 28th. We started about 10am with the men painting in the church, the women sewing the curtains for the windows, and the children picking up the sticks out of the yard.

Picture 2: Jeremy Velazquez painting the ceiling. Since I had to scan the actual pic, it's kind of blurry, but you can see the difference in the tile!! I guess I didn't realize it looked quite that bad!!! It really looks nice now!!! 3 4

Picture 3: Lunch time!! As you see in pic. 4, Bro. Juan Velazquez grilled the hamburgers and hot dogs, and we all enjoyed a relaxing meal around 2pm. Then, it was back to work!!! It didn't take long to finish and most everyone needed to leave right away. Ron and I got everything cleaned up and finished about 6pm. We were all pretty tired!!!!

Picture 5: The Morley
Family (minus the boys) and myself dressed up for the Jamestown com-memoration party held at the Morley place on Fri. April 27th. (See, I told you the pics were all messed up!!) We really had a good time with everyone. It's been 400 years since the settlement at Jamestown, VA where the men planted a cross and claimed the land for God. The government didn't have anything to do with the celebration because of the land being claimed for God, so someone sent out a brochure asking the Christian families to do something to let people know that we still claim America for God!!! Since it was history related, and most of the people that came homeschool their children, it was a good learning experience, yet fun at the same time!!!! Picture 6 is me in the dress I made for the celebration. Ron took it with his sepia filter, so that is why its colored like that. The backdrop is a cactus tree thing in our back yard.

Picture 7: Kylie helping her momma sew!! She really did well while everyone worked!! The Morley girls had a good time keeping her occupied after they finished their job of picking up the sticks!!!! She is such a darling!!!!!

I did have a picture on here of the women working on the curtains, but I accidentally deleted it, and so it's not on here anymore!! Sorry!!!!!

Picture 8: The children really worked hard in getting the yard picked up. A couple of the neighbor girls came over and helped. They really had a good time working and playing with the other children. In total, we had 8 children working (9 if you count Kylie!!), and when they finished, they jumped on the neighbor girls' trampoline, and played together really well.

That pretty much sums it all up!! We so appreciate the good turnout for the workday, and the results of everyones hard work!!! We will have to get pics of the church now!!! Ron is working to replace the alter (just pretty much rebuilding over the one that is already there) and it looks like we will have it done for mother's day. We are pleased and thank God for the progress we have made in getting this place fixed up!! We still have lots to do, especially to the church building, but God has provided the means and the labor to get done what we need to get done. We thank Him for all He has done for us in the time that we have been here!!!!!

Well, I have taken a lot of time to get this done, and so it's time now to sign off!!! Hope you all enjoyed this post, and didn't get too confused with the layout!! Now that its done, I don't know which layout I like better. If you have a preference, let me know!!!! To me, it doesn't really matter, but one may be easier to read/follow than another. But anyway, I must get going. Hope you all have a good week/weekend!!!!

Until next time,
Esther

P.S. I just previewed this, and the numbers didn't line up with the pictures. If that's the way it posts, I hope you all can figure them out!!! It's pretty much just in order.

P.S.S. Wow, it sure didn't post like the preview had it!! I'm really sorry!! Some of the pictures got rearranged, and all kinds of stuff!!! Next time, I'll stick to the other layout that I used before. Please forgive me!!!!!!
